Why don't they let you lane split in tx?

Generally speaking, I agree with that. However, when you're in leathers, sitting in dead stop traffic, and its 90+ degrees outside, I'm lane splitting as a necessary means of survival. The mixture of ridiculous heat and vehicle exhaust is deadly.

But lane splitting because you're impatient is stupid and dangerous.

Pretty much. Law enforcement has a hard on for sport bikes, so most don't do anything to needlessly antagonize them.

Unless you're stunting or riding at triple digits. Then all bets are off.

I have been trying to let these plants fly my quadcopter to get pictures, they keep saying safety this, sparks flying here and there that..

 

Show them the picture and movie quality of all your neighbors that you've shot. See if that convinces them.
