Since I've had my One M7 and M8, HTC rolls out regular service packs to their phones, even if the phone isn't the latest version of Sense/Android. VZW isn't all that quick with the updates.

1.1PD is so much data!! That's amazing the SSD could take it.

VZW SUCKS with updates. I normally patch everything with ODIN once Samsung releases it.

I'm not concerned, I don't use hangouts and the Nexus 6 is Vanilla OS. So I don't have to wait on manufacturing updates. Googles always updating this phone.

I feel better now. That's what I'm running in RAID0 I just setup. I have my security camera's snapping pic's to them and its taking around 10k-20k pic's a day.

Nice. You should try running the whole OS out of RAM.

I know you can use special software to load some parts of Windows to RAM, but not the whole OS, even if you had to RAM to do so.

I had done it with Linux. I modified the initramfs to copy everything in to RAM, and to periodically sync changes back to the SSD.

I might try this on my Mac Mini running Ubuntu. It's got 16 gigs of ram.

Do you always try to be a douche or just does it come natural to you?

You may already know this, but if not, Ubuntu is a derivative of Debian.

I guess it comes down to a matter a preference. I find Debian less bloated than Ubuntu. Even from a minimal install, Ubuntu packages seem to bring in more dependencies than equivalent Debian packages. I don't care for the fixed release model, or the sudo thing either.
