No problem. I wasn't trying to poo-poo your idea.

Well, you must be close by. The yard shots appear to be more likely S of the bridge, not many residential areas in Pinellas look like that anymore.

I'd be willing to consider, umm, being a test lab, for the 'truck with a cover'. I have an Extang trifold, long bed. Base, but don't suppose the beds are actually any different. I also have under rail bed lights (make nice night shots?) and I do haul two kayaks. Would be interesting to see if one of these would fit in the space left when both are loaded......... But they would certainly work well with one loaded and even the cover just folded back to it's 'open' position.

Keeping a 7' rod safe is dicey with the yak(s) loaded, I typically have to carry them in the Scottie. That's ok, but places the tip running into the wind....

After a few tweaks and tests, I am ready to take orders.

The final product will feature a two (2) pole holder set at a 30° angle, which is user adjustable to 45°, 60°, 75°, and 90°. They can be mounted anywhere along the bedrail you choose. Production will commence around the 1st of September with shipments starting about 1-2 weeks after. All customers will be updated with tracking numbers when their purchase ships.

    Options available -
    White or Black
    Driver's side/Passenger's side, or both.
    With or without rod slots.

If you order one, I'll assume it is for the driver's side unless you specify otherwise. After you receive it and you feel like you'd rather have it installed on the other side of the truck, you can easily do that with the supplied/downloadable instructions.

The cost is $38 for one, $70 for two, plus $15.80 flat rate priority 2 day shipping (covers up to 2 holders). PM me for further payment info.

Custom orders are possible - One customer asked for a low profile rig so his tonneau cover would close over it when not in use. Just PM me for details.

I will update the OP with a list of pending and paid orders, which will also be marked as shipped when completed.

This is the computer version of the final design:
