Those are stock uca`s. If you take the lift spacers and/or wheel spacers off you shouldnt have worry about clearing the uca with the tire. Unless you have some after market wheel that is set in closer to the truck or wide tires, but if your tires were that wide you would probably be hitting the cab mount too.

Yeah, if you're going to be off roading then I'd get rid of those stock uca + spacers and get a suspension upgrade in the front.

    What I would do:
Take it to a reputable mechanic and ask for an opinion.
Most likely that would include taking everything out and putting it back to stock and realigning it. See if the problem persists.
    Rebuild the lift.
Then write a note to myself to never buy a truck lifted without knowing about lifts haha.
People can really fuck up a vehicle.
Let this be a learning experience and don't freak out too much. Just think yourself through a second lift option, don't act brash and this likely isn't too costly.
PS do you have maintinence records on that thing?

Rip all of that aftermarket shit out and go back to stock. If Toyota wanted it there it would be there. It can't cost more than a couple hundred bucks at a good alignment body shop.

Who would want to do that? Because running factory height isn't cool according to TW.

Yes, it is true. If he can't be properly aligned at that height with the spacers than he can't be aligned at that height with any other lift on stock control arms. The spacers can't cause an alignment issue that any other lift won't on stock control arms. This is fact.

You say "alignment was fine" and "virtually no detectable sway". Do you have the alignment printout? It might have been fine to you, but not someone else.

You've got it all backwards. Those ARE stock control arms and that IS the problem. Using a spacer WITH an aftermarket caster/camber correcting control arm is perfectly fine and will get you a perfect alignment.

    You run an auto shop??

Is it a 1" spacer, for 2" of lift? Or is it a 2" spacer...? If the spacer is 2", get that fucking thing out of there!!!!

ETA: I'm at 2.5" of lift on stock UCAs and I had terrible wander with offset wheels and 265 wide tires. The wander went away with the same width tires on stock wheels. Now I have 255s on stock wheels and the ride is mint. The wheel spacers are exacerbating the problem.

Kind of hard to tell from picture but I don't see a sway bar. Did previous owner remove it? Before you bad mouth spacer lift make sure you have a sway bar and it is hooked up.

He said sway bar is there. I think his lift is too high for the taco, or his stance is too wide for his lift without adjusting caster for lift.

I did the alignment myself bud. I don't printout the alignment specs because I constantly redo the alignments after I off road. During the time I did that one, Caster was 1.8* and 2.0* on the left and right sides on the lift it was at. Not very high to combat road crown but I wasn't expecting fantastic either due to the lift. I am an insanely hypersensitive person when it comes to how a vehicle drives and handles. If anyone can spot a problem on a vehicle, it is myself. And I KNOW anyone else who would jump in my truck would never have one complaint about sway at high or low driving speeds.

It's fairly obvious that the stock control arms on his truck are just not able to capture decent specs for the vehicle to be able to handle well and drive decently down the road, if the tires are bad though it may be causing him issues as well.

Ummmm ok so than you agree with me that if his current alignment at his current height is not able to be aligned properly(from his words) than any other lift at that same height on stock control arms is going to net the same results. I'm not sure what you were saying I was wrong about?

Forgot to mention that my truck sits 1" higher on the left side making the right side sag 1" over each fender

This is why I would never buy anything that was modified. You just never know. And you always pay more to have it corrected.

Part of this issue is largely due to collapsed radiator support bushings.
