I got in a fight with some dueche on IG about that. I love snakes. No way in hell was I gonna kill a rare rattler like that. She was fat and happy and enjoying life. It was a really cool oppertunity being able to watch her. Eventually I'd love to own one.

You and me have two totally opposite ideas about snakes. Doesn't your gf own snakes?

Holy shit! I'd go with a bearded dragon. Those are cool but snakes...Negative. I wouldn't even want a lil green garde. snake.

My big Columbian was as big around as a 2liter bottle and ate small rabbits. Super friendly snakes. Never bit or hissed. Had no problem with dogs or the other animals when I had him out. But if you were a rabbit or large rat you'd be SOL.

Cool fact since your into killing snakes lol there's no recorded event of a copperhead killing someone. If your bit they'll give you a general medication like Benadryl. They're barely venomous. A eastern hog nose is venomous but the venom count isn't high enough to be comcidered venomous but is the exact same symptoms as being bit by a copperhead. There's really no need to kill them if you don't want venomous snakes in your yard. And snakes that are black like rat snakes and King snakes are good to keep around because venom doesn't effect them and they LOVE to eat venomous snakes and can eat a snake 1 foot larger than there total length

I found this one the other day in my yard and left him there because he'll keep the rattlers away from my dog. Haven't seen a single rattler around or other venomous snakes

King snakes are super smart too. I had a buddy in NC who had a couple and one got out and some how made it into a breeder albino eastern diamondback terrarium and ate it. He lost well over a $1k snake because a 10 dollar King snake was hungry and smart
