I'll come out with my boys (7&9). Sounds like it will be fun. It is about a 2 1/2 hr drive for us, I hope we can get a decent size group together. There has been a fair amount of interest in having a get together for Ohioians, now is our chance. I have a cb and dual band ham so whatever everyone has is great.

I was wondering why I hadn't seen you! Unfortunately I was only able to stay for the first day as I was already in Utah for a few days wheeling. Next year I'll be there the whole time plus extra.

I'll see you in September dude!

I was planning on going to rock therapy this year, but my boys school got extended a week due to so many snow days. I'm really hoping to make it out there next year! It would be cool to have an Ohio caravan!

    LOL shut up! :D

I just find most of this stuff randomly exploring. Now I'm worried it's going to suck and everyone will think I'm a total poseur!

FYI I'm not 100% but I think Stone Church may be closed, reverted back to the mine. One of those roads right there is shut down and marked as a private haul road.

:woot: Glad I could poke the right people! A quick day trip is a good start. I'll have to let my buddy who is in the area know about this thread. He might join you guys when he is around (he works 6 months on 6 months off). Have a beer for me.

Hey, as long as you are getting something scheduled! That's about what we did. Just jumped in a scheduled a day and place. Had no idea how it would turn out. Half of it was highway roads leading to some forestry roads, but it was still a blast hanging out, and got the next trip scheduled.

Now we're rolling out to Colorado.

Looking at the map it seemed like Stone Church lead past Johnson Hill Rd (Possibly the firepit/old couch turnaround) and connected with Boy Scout Rd which ran along the river (I'm assuming it's unpaved) until it reached Wills Creek Rd.

There are a lot of small roads, some marked, others not, on Google Maps. It's hard to tell what is private and what is public and what is paved/unpaved. For example, about 500ft before Reiker Hill Rd hits Ferncliff Rd there is clearly an unpaved trail that appears to run quite a ways through the woods, eventually opening out onto Stone Church Rd after a fork which th other way seems to go to a large water puddle just before becoming someone's farm... Won't know for sure what any of this stuff looks like until I see it in person unfortunately.

It looks like we may well spend a significant time on pavement moving between and looking for different unpaved trails. I may not air down as much as usual for this reason.

I don't think airing down is necessary on those trails, and most of the roads on the west side are badly paved and one the east side are dirt. We'll probably have to do a lot of backing up and turning around as we randomly explore shit...

Just ordered my OME suspension but no way will that get here in time to install and test before Saturday !!!!!!!!

Heard that, I'll probably go down to 25psi so I can still do pavement but on bumps I'm not getting punched in the ass by E-load tires!

I don't have the money for my full OME suspension yet, but I'm ordering some rear shocks right now as a first step since I have a broken shock. Did you go old nitros or sports?

I'm glad you said something about airing down. I thought about bringing and air compressor for when we were done we can air back up. But no power means no air unless somebody has the 110 plug in the back of their truck. Gas station air is a waste of money haha
