I was just talking to some people about this. Like a 'nike id' thing. Even mentioned it to dead bird dinosaur corporate on the phone less than 7 hours ago.

    name escapes me too.

there was just a news article about this. Saying the dollar was stronger and that production costs were down, thus it should translate to retailers passing the savings onto the consumer. Hasn't happened yet.

Been around atleast 6-8 years? That's about how far back I remember hearing about them. If not longer than that.

Yep. Fairly new in the industry. Compared to the other names out there,

I'll look in a few hours. Still have a Pro Deal card from them. Met the owner.

Why aren't the zombies crossing the border into Mexico or Canada?

Quick question for you guys. In another thread someone asked for a way to solidly mount a LPG tank in the bed of their truck and I think the desired solution was to use accessory D rings attached with the bedside box hardware which works well. I use my bed area for my camper and therefore wouldn't want to carry a tank inside of it - it's illegal to do in my state anyway - and put some thought into using the old VW Westfalia style LPG tanks that used to mount below the side doors of the transporters.

Has anyone else tried this, or even thought about it, and if so what limitations did you run into?

Complete OME kit w/ 881's and dakars. All-Pro Sliders, CB, HAM Radio and various other minor stuff.
I've installed a VHF/UHF HAM radio in the last few weeks and starting to research options for a HF go-box.

Nope. I've got just a basic backpack in my truck for a GHB.

I see a lot of good gear in your list, but except for a fishing pole, I don't see any any mention of survival food, potable water, or even filtration/water purification tablets. I used to always have drinking water and MRE's packed. Great to have if you get stuck in a snow bank or the desert for a few days.

While I don't have a lot of the stuff on the list, one really good thing to carry is a VS-17 panel. It's a military high-visibility panel/flag. Kind of florescent pink/orange and is used as a marker for aerial spotting of a location. Having a Super White truck, and getting stuck in the snow is not easy to spot from the air. Yeah, I know I'm in Texas, but hopefully not for ever.

I'd like to see your radio setup.

Define HF go box for me. I'm intrigued (seriously)

I've had a couple but I always got them as part of a promotion they were running. It's effectively a range bag - pretty sure they came with a removable shoulder strap - and pretty handy but with the frequency that they give them away I'd just keep an eye on their promotions and get it free with something you need.

    Damn, then that's my problem.
