What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

That came out great. I did the same to mine, but after the bedliner dried, I sprayed satin black. No fading 2 years later!

If he sprays them with satin black or whatever color he chooses he should be ok.

 

he used bedliner.. not actual paint.
I used the same stuff on my fenders and bedsides.

 

What paint did you source to do this, I am trying to rid my truck of the hideous chrome as well. Thanks in advance.

 

Thanks..! but really? 2 years?!? I'll see how long just bed liner last and I'll remember to put some satin black on next time.

 

Yup, 2 years. got some pinstripes from wheelin, but overall no fading, peeling, or anything major. And I'm super anal about my rig

 

I think I blew my left side shocks lol damn dirt road is getting washed out from all the rain we been getting

 

I am also running the 14" mag. Love it. If I lay on it hard from a stop. I'll get little bit of rasp but I'm also running long tube headers.

 

Man, it would have been so much easier to pull the bumper and remove the chrome strip.

I can take a better photo of you want it. But the paint shop where he works at tells him how much paint he should put in it. I'm sure you can go to a paint shop and have your color # matched. You also need clear coat if you want it too match better.

I can't even remember the countless times I've taken off, and put back on, my front bumper. It's a matter of 4 bolts and 4 zip ties

 

the zip ties are for light bars.. silly.

As long as you aren't zip tying light bars then you're good chief.

 

Did you have any help when you tried putting your front bumper back on?

 

i liked the way my fm 40 sounded low-mid rpms but at WOT it did get quite raspy. I added in a small glasspack as a resonator along with the fm 40 and it helped alot.

 

No you use duct tape and gorilla glue for mounting light bars.
