I really like the way you cut you flares? are there any steps in your build that you took to do it? and It looks like there is a black trim piece on the edge am I seeing that right?

Thanks man! I can't remember where the steps are in my build haha but I remember PMing someone about them and had them in my messages. Yes I did run some "door trim" on the fenders to give it a more factory look. Here's the steps that I did.

    1. Remove plastic splash guards inside of fenders
    2. Remove plastic fenders
    3. Make sure to put low tack painters tape from the bottom edge of the plastic fender to 3 or 4 inches up.

    4. Use a cheap drawing compass, adjust the compass to 2.5 inches, take one end and run it along the bottom part of the plastic fender while the lead end marks the line to cut all the way along the plastic fender.

    5. I used a dremel with a small cutoff wheel to cut the line on the plastic fender.

    6. Use low tack painters tape to tape the sheet metal fender from the bottom of the fender to 3 or 4 inches up.

    7. Use the drawing compass and repeat the same steps on the sheet metal as you did on the plastic fender.

    8. On the bottom right side, middle, and bottom left of the sheet metal part of the fender I scored the line with a grinder so that I could bend back little tabs so that I could screw or bolt in new plastic sheeting for splash guards. It's optional for you if you'd like.

    9. Cut out sheet metal line with a grinder.

    10. I bought plastic car door edge trim to put on the plastic fenders to make them look nice.

    11. Put back on the plastic fenders (I broke a lot of the clips so I used zip ties)

I don't think I left anything out. But just in case I did you can totally refer to Slimwood Shady's 09 Access Single Cab Build starting on page 39 of his build . Let me know if that helps.

    Check out my build thread.
I was very nervous cutting my fenders as well then just went out there and did it one day. I broke a lot of the plastic clips as well and bought a bunch more clips off of ebay. Those things are expensive. One day I was replacing my wheel bearings and hubs and I ended up hitting one of my fenders and I tore the entire thing off. I went to home depot and bought some bolts with rubber washers and drilled holes through the plastic fenders and bolted them on. they wont fall off anymore!

Haha awesome. I can't see any pictures on your build thread where there are bolts going through but I can easily imagine what it looks like.

Okay finally was able to get 98 percent finished with this thing. Couple minor things need to be added but I'm pretty much done. I had the day off today and I grinded it smooth, gusseted the tire swing out arm where the tire mounts to, and painted the whole thing. Probably will add a few more coats of paint as well. Here's a few pictures, I will get pictures of it on my truck very soon. Truck is at the dealer today getting 30k maintanence done.

Also picked up a set of front and rear weathertechs from the dealership. Not bad $200 for both front and rear.
