Well, for those of us who are into workout out for aesthetics, I think we can all agree that Crossfit isn't the most efficient way to reach your goals.

    #teamnarcissistic #aestheticscrew

All joking aside, I take my overall heath into account and not just gainzzz. But gainzzz be the overall goal, so I'm going to use the best and most efficient resource available, which is bodybuilding-style weightlifting.

And I'm on the other end, I'm all about overall health and gains would be cool...

I'm on the silver bullet plan for life. Stay in shape as long as I can and when the end time comes (or need for assisted living) I'll take another route. I want to pro-long the other route as long as I can hence, overall health.

I'm 30 years old, I stopped lifting for chicks a long time ago.

If a kid wants to get into weight training theres a plethora of information on the internet. I see horrible hitching deadlifts in crossfit all the time that actually get accepted as a legit lift by the judges. Thats when you know your sport is a joke.

Just showing up and doing a 'WOD' is laziness imo and classes are for children.

I will agree that while its better than siting home on the couch, there are better and safer ways to get into shape. Im all for everyone having a healthy active lifestyle, I just think crossfit is dangerous - maybe not much more dangerous than regular weight training, but its not my cup of tea. Lets just agree to disagree. Do crossfit if thats your thing, ill stick to what I do. (drinking eggwhites, miller high life and shooting roids.) JK. LOL

i did say that in the first comment...lol

my point, your goals are the goals of the majority of the pop. most people want to be able to live their life without needing to be put in a nursing home when they get older

Consume less calories than you burn off, and train with weights. Its pretty simple. Personally i dont work my abs, but unless are at a low BF%, I wouldnt be doing much ab work.

I've been doing 1000-1500 calories a day and run for 45 minutes everyday, im below 10% BF.

this is all new to me ever since high school I've been lifting throughout college and got pretty big up to 225. I don't have time to lift 2 hours a night like I used to now that I started my career, so I've gotten lean now I just want to be cut now.

    this...^ use like a 500cal deficit

are you looking for exercises for your abs or exercises to help you loose 10 pounds? generally bodybuilders do abb exercises weightless to shape their abs and to keep them small. doing weighted abb work or lifting heavy shit is going to grow your waist. exercises to help you loose 10 pounds would be eating less/healthier and then just whatever you want, run, lift, swim, shit you could play a shit ton of hopscotch if you really wanted to along as your burning calories.

1000-1500 seems way low if your weight is 225 especially if your exercising. if your not eating enough your body will store fat and you won't loose any weight

Here's my advice: Eat meats and vegetable only! (no brad, no pasta, no rice, no potato, no grains, limit fruits) but eat as much and as often as you like. That way you're not starving and you'll still lose weight and don't worry about the calories. 1500cal from pasta are a lot worse than 1500cal from steak...they are not nearly the same and don't forget about nutrients (you might starve yourself without noticing) the whole cal measuring unit if flawed anyway.

I eat about 3000-4000cal a day, do I burn them all off, hell now, do I get fatter no...so something is wrong here right?

Ya that was last year when I was lifting hard and clearing around 4,000 cals a day

Ya I have 4 just want the bottom 2 now, so I figured ill have to do some sort of abdominal workout to help achieve that. I hit 170 fairly easy and I have been steady there for about 3 months. I am into my 3rd week of running 45ish minutes every night so I am hoping to be down another 10 lbs in a month or so. But that 10 lbs will be difficult to loose because there's not to much, me at 160lbs would be a pretty damn low BF %

I work out of my truck most of the day so im not getting to burn a lot of calories until I get off work. I eat a lot of veggies and eat some rice which I can cut out of my diet.
