    I'd need money for that first. lol I think the deck just needs to be re-wired, none of the buttons work and only the volume buttons work on the remote.

    Key fob is easy. New batteries. My viper auto start fobs on the other hand... I have to order new ones.

    when buttons don't work on the deck.... that's usually an internal problem and not fesiable to fix unless there is a warranty. sometimes the viper FOB batteries can be change even if they are the rechargeable ones.

    I do have steering wheels controls but they don't work. The previous owner put a pioneer 4 inch screen in. No manual or anything. I will probably get a new deck eventually.

    Put a new battery in my key fob... and its still not working. Tried to re-program it... didn't work.

    There is a small chance there is an adapter being used for the steering wheel controls.... that could have gone bad. won't really know until actually pulling the deck and seeing what is what.

    i realize not everybody knows everybody well on here...

    I have an pretty extensive background when it comes to mechanical and electrical work on vehicles. I have worked at dealers and independent shops. I have pretty much done all the work on my vehicles over the years. the clutch in my truck was outsourced to GTF due to lack of time and space. i have installed countless systems in friends & family's vehicles.

    I have no problem taking a look at that deck if you so choose, the choice is up to you.
