Deciding on New Wheels

So i need new tires very soon, I have decided to go with the K02's. My dilemma is what to do about my wheels. I currently have the 18" chrome capped limited wheels that came with the truck pictured here:


My options are as follows.
1) Keep these wheels and get new K02's in 265/65/18 ~ $1,200
2) Get the 17" TRD 4runner Pro Wheels in Gun Metal and go with 265/70/17 ~ $1,740
3) Get 16" ProComp Wheels and go with 265/75/16 ~ $1,261.82

Prices are estimates for option 1 and 2, option 3 is shipped, mounted and balanced from 4wheelparts.

Let me know what you guys think, your input would really help me out. I would like to save as much money as i can.

option 2 would look best with MGM

 

I would go with (2) also... I like the TRD wheels.

If I could spend your money I would choose option (4)... 3 in level with 18 inch black rims and 265/70R18...

 

Option 2 probably would look the best but its also the most expensive.
Where would be the best place to find the wheels and tires?
I know of Lexus of Miami, but is there anything better? Also, what about the K02's?

 

If you look up cost per tire, 17s are cheaper than 18s.
265/70/17 are the only KO2 size you can get with C load rating too.

Before the TRD pro black craze, I bought the gray set for $688 on supertoyotaparts.com.
Now the grays are identical in price the the black set.

I almost bought the gunmetal TRD 17 inch a few weeks ago off EBay. I decided to go with something else. I see there are still sets on Ebay for around $750.

 

I found them for $727 shipped from olathe toyota! Not a bad deal. I think Town Fair will match any internet price for the K02s so i will most likely have them put the tires on for me.

 

Option 3 IMO - love that black!

Haha. I am doing the same thing except I am going with the chrome rims 18x9. I am getting the Fuel Wheels. I was originally just going to do wheels and tires then I decided I wanted more. Now the whole suspension is going away. I went back and forth over the black finishes and chrome. One of the defining issues was the need to install stainless nerf bars due to the lift going on, and the durability of coated bars. Tough decisions good luck.

 

I would do a little more research... The TRD wheels are RIDICULOUSLY overpriced!!! I like how they look but you can get a better quality and better looking wheel for a lot less money.

 

I ended up going with the TRD wheels, i got them at $160 a piece. Still waiting on a shipping notification but hopefully they will be in soon. Thanks for the advice and help.

They actually ended up being $180 each shipped, but its still a pretty great deal. They are sitting in my garage right now waiting for some new tires this fall.

Yep that sounds about right, I priced olathe toyota and seems like they do have the best price atm. Why are you waiting for new tires until fall, I'd throw on eom rubber and start enjoying the new wheels

 

My current wheels are 18" so they wont work with the TRD wheels and the tread on my current tires is almost all gone. I have enough life in them until about fall, then im going to get either K02's or Cooper AT3's. Not really sure which one yet.
