I use this one with a trailer that has 8 inch rims. It needs to be about 1 inch lower to level out. So with your setup this should be close.

It depends on what you're towing. Level out your trailer and measure the distance from the ground to the coupler, then measure your truck receiver to figure out how much drop you need. Or just back your truck up to the level trailer to see.

There is a lot more to it than a one answer fits all trailers

What he said! I guess that is why I've acquired so many hitches over the years. If you are going to pull just one specific trailer, get the hitch that works for it. If you are going to haul various trailers get one of the fancy ones that let you adjust the drop height....much better than having a ton of hitches! As a previous poster stated, level the trailer and measure, then measure your receiver height to get close. Remember to consider that tongue weight and anything in the truck will also drop the ball height so if you are going to wing it, get one that is a bit shy on drop and it should work.

I worked in and ran a U-Haul moving center for quite few years and I sold many ball mounts and almost everyone just wanted the 2" drop and took no consideration into the height of their receiver.

Measure as previously mentioned. I pull two different trailers, my personal trailer has a Ford axle and full sized tires, the one I pull for work has itty bitty tires. On my trailblazer (i haven't towed anything with my Tacoma yet) I need a 2" drop, on the work trailer I need a 4" drop.

I use a 2" drop turned over for a 1" rise for my boat. 14" rims but it has an under slung axle. It sits slightly above level which is preferred to slightly under. I use a 3-1/2" drop for utility trailer and popup with smaller tires. Like other said measure. You want trailer level. If you also haul stuff in bed then allow for it.
