I am also, looking for a lift. I am new to this forum and the Taco world. I have been reading around and asking friends about lifts. Keep us updated on how it goes.

Depends on your driving, and what you want your truck to do. 5100 and OME are great, but I your going to wheel often might want to get icons and or kings. It will cost less in the long run to do it right the first time.

OME does not fit the rear shock mounts on a 2015. :frusty:

That was the route I was going until I discovered that. Multiple vendors like toytec will advise this on their site. You can put different shocks on the rear, but I don't like to mix and match.

Lucky for him. Many reported interference between the shock body and the chassis. Many vendors have warnings on their sites, and won't accept returns for that reason, I've spoken to the guys at Toytec about it. So I decided to go a different route.

    Are floor mats a mod?
Ok, here's a nutshell synopsis of lifts and what they can do, beginners version. There are a bunch of threads here as well.
Leveling kit- spacers in the front springs. Don't bother. $ couple hundred installed.
3" lifts- spacers in front and blocks in back - looks ok, does nothing for off road. Ok for pavement and if u want to get bigger tires. $500-600 ish installed
    - 5100's. Better for off road, still limited travel, keeps factory ride about the same. $600 ish installed maybe more
    - new coils, shocks, AAL's or leaf pack. Good for more severe off road, BUT u really should add new upper control arms with ball joints to take advantage of travel and to get caster and toe in back to spec and minimize tire wear and stress on the Uca's. Ride a bit more stiff in the 1st 1/2" of travel but much more plush when the bumps get bigger. Depending on the kit, $1000- $1500 or so installed. Add $1200 for the ucas installed separately or $ 800 if u do it all at once. iMHO the best bang for ur buck.
    - long travel or big lifts. For show trucks or baja 1000 racers. LOTS of money, but hey, you're sponsored, right?
What brand to go with? IMHO, go with the majors. Toytec, Icon, OME, pro comp, OME, Icon, others, OME, or OME. ( there's a reason people like OME and Icon. It's expensive and bulletproof and almost perfectly engineered)
In the end, do what you can afford, but save up and do it right 1st or it will cost more and u won't be satisfied.
Have fun, and USE your Taco for what it was designed for!

Thanks everyone... Been reading everything and looking items up and re-readind everything agian... Like i said i just want to do it right the first time. Not planning on off roading more of show then anything else and would like the same ride quality with beefier A/T's.
