Have you found a local radio station you like yet? Houston got rid of all the good ones and turned em into various monsters. One they didn't even get rid of, they just deballed and pussified it. It's called the buzz. But if you like old school hip hop, boom 92 is where there it's at

 

yeah that's my #1 preset. Generally I just stream google music

 

The Buzz HD2 station is closer to what they used to be. Better, but still not great.

Ok. I have like an 08 model pioneer touch screen with radio, cd, aux, and usb. I didn't know HD radio wasnt already phased out like HD DVDs

Nope, HD Radio is still around. Most of the stations around major metro areas xmit an HD signal for their main station. Better quality signal. They also can transmit side channels, like OTA HD TV signals. For those of us too cheap for XM or to stream a bunch, HD is better quality than FM and adds some additional stations.
