Fair enough! I'm interested in this if you get it out together. Looking at the LROR kit as well but like your slip joint idea.

Well, at this point all I can provide is a set of drawings so you can build your own. I'll let you know when I get mine built.

Post a link to the LROR kit.

I already have all of the materials, just need to find me a spot to work.

Axle bracket and cross member bracket = 3/8" plate
    Outer top tube = 2.0" OD x 0.25"
    Inner top tube = 1.5" OD x 0.25"
    Lower support tube = 1.5" OD x 0.25"

I will have to machine the inner 1.5" tube slightly to get it to fit. I am also planning on cutting two shallow grease grooves in the inner 1.5" tube. The outer tube will have grease zerks.

Those TMR kits won't work as they don't allow twisting. If you want to go with a kit I'd suggest the ruffstuff one.

    https://www.ruffstuffspecialties.com/catalog/AWKIT.html

The only issue with the available kits is that you don't have a round axle tube where the traction bar should be placed. You want the traction bar as close to center as possible, so the inner side of the bracket will have a rectangular notch.

Thanks! Lots of info and ideas to brainstorm through. How much do you think will need to be turned down on the inner tube? I don't have that capability and would have to find a machine shop for that.

The last time I needed something quick machined I just showed up at the local machine shop and slipped them a $20. I'm sure it won't be too expensive though. It's a simple operation to turn down the OD a bit. Just go in and tell them how much and the length.

Looks like I'm gonna ditch my HID's and go all LED lights. I even have a set of brand new HID's for the ARB that I never installed. They'll be up for sale soon.

    Here's the plan.

20" 100w combo in the grill
40" 200w combo on the front fairing
40" 200w flood on the back of the roof rack
    (2) 20w spot cubes on hood hinge brackets

That should be enough light. :D

I'm testing out a few non name brand led's to see if they're worth offering. They'll probably never hit my website, but I'll be able to offer them through the forums.

And I think I'll put my old prototype NSA back in the truck to run just lights. I'll keep the one I have in there now for the real stuff, lockers and whatnot.

So I'll set up the NSA so I can hit one button and turn on every light. :D

So the above list, plus front and rear strobes, and the rock lights. That should make for a good display. :D

Here's the 20". The 40" bars will be the same style.

    Before the bar.

With only the 20" bar on.

I'm putting a gooseneck hitch in this weekend and possibly picking up a 20ft deck over trailer.

Hey Nathan, what brand is that 20" light? I've got a bumper coming in soon and that would be perfect!
