I've taken my motorcycle headlights apart. I baked them in my oven and the came apart real easy. I'd help you out with your taillights to. I tried the night shade stuff on mine but didn't like the way it turned out and just didn't do it again. Really to get the best result you need to spray it on pretty heavy and then sand them down to get them nice and smooth then hit them with a high gloss buffing compound and they turn out great! I just haven't done mine yet cause it to hot but I plan on doing it once it cools down.

Windows 7, just have all the visual BS turned off to help performance. These PCs are old and slow.. Running Solidworks as well as other programs that slow it down.

They should give you my old machine. That thing ran great. Had all the extras turned on and it still ran like a champ. It has 12gb of ram. It was the fastest out of all the engineers.

I used night shadez on mine. 4 coats I believe. I love it. Turned around and did the wife a. But only 2 coats cause she wanted it lighter. Pretty easy as long as you watch the runs.

    first off, its illegal.

second off, what logical sense does it make to take the lights that are designed to alert the drivers behind you that you are slowing, stopping, turning or in distress any darker? Wanna know the fastest way to be on the wrong side of a rear end accident, modify your tail lights. All they have to say is "I didnt see their lights/signal", cop looks at your black lens's and there you are, stuck with a ticket and an accident that went from probably not your fault to 100% your fault without any chance of recourse.

Sorry if I sound a little harsh, I just think its one of the dumbest things you can do to your truck and looks cheap. (and yes, I may have had my tail lights tinted at one point)

I don't think murdered out is dead. Plastidip kinda brought it back.

I'm with Cliff on the taillights. It's just another excuse for someone to say it was your fault for them running into you.

I 100% believe in this. I have almost rear ended several people because I couldn't see their tail lights during the day.

Valid points on the tail lights. I just want to smoke them, not murder or black them out. That night shade shit is $15 a can and I really only wanna do one coat. Anyone got a can handy?

Mine are not insanely dark like most. Just enough to cover the chrome inside the housing and with the led tail lights you need to be completely not paying attention to not see thrm. I understand what uou mean tho and it makes sense.

Most likely DOT approved. My stock ones are 'smoked'.

Buy black housing tail lights.. Don't tint. Tacky IMO, illegal, blah blah everything that Cliff said. Why dim light output.

The flebay lights for our truck are good looking too. Not too far off from stock and still DOT approved.

That's why you sand and then polish the tint to make them a nice light smoke look but if you got the cash for 125 bucks on ebay you can buy some brand new led tailights that are smoked already and dot approved.
