the last complaint thread i saw about eddie, all the fan boys jumped in on that one too.

OP made his point. Some people backed up the vendor which is a sign it's probably a good product, just not for OP.

Then everyone got butthurt, gay jokes came out, and now this thread is on the fast track to a lock.

BTW I just ordered some 1/4" Aluminum skids from another vendor. If I bend the shit out of them, I'll bend it back. OP, weld some plate behind the letters or get a 1/4" steel plate. Move on. Knocking this vendor isn't getting you anywhere.

If you smash your truck into stuff 1/4" aluminum will bend, mine did but then again I bought skids to protect the expensive bits behind them not to look pretty. And I dropped my truck onto a rock, then backed up and tried more skinny pedal, the skid worked and allowed me to skid over the obstacle.

 

Yup. I didn't buy aluminum for it's toughness. I bought it so I could shave a bunch of weight and still protect my truck well. Not to mention if they get scratched up once painted I won't have brown rust underneath my truck which looks the shits. Not that I care all that much about looks but I hate rust metal on a truck.

Like I said, I'll likely bend them at some point and then I do some magic with Mr Sledgehammer.

Eddy's welding skills are not an issue and neither are his products. He is also more than a seasoned welder from the work ive seen (I weld for a living also). I have seen many of his products used and abused and none have failed. I think you might have made a user error and want to blame it on the maker. From my experience his products are beefy and made to work hard to keep your truck from getting in worse shape and it looks like you have used that skid pretty hard but looks like it saved your truck from damage.
