I don't know how many of you have registered at www.toyotaownersonline.com, but I recommend that you do. It has a neat feature when you log in and look under "service records".

Not only can you see the service history of your truck or other Toyota vehicle, but you can ENTER YOUR OWN SERVICES AND NON-DEALER SERVICES.

For example, I entered my oil and filter change last month, and today I added that I had my local brake/alignment shop do my tire rotation and brake inspection (thus completing my 5,000 mile service).

The list of services goes all the way back to the "Pre-Delivery Service" from just before I picked up the truck.

I still keep my receipts, but then my service record is up to date. I presume this history will also be on the 'service history' that the dealership mechanics look up.

Very neat feature--well worth the two minutes it takes to set up your account.

    No option for Canadians?

From what I can see, the Canadian version only allows you to view the service history as enetered by te dealership. I couldn't find a way to record what I have done :( Oh well, guess I'll stick with my old-school methd of keeping receipts and writing my stuff in the owner's manual supplement.

Signed up. Neet maintenance schedule link. I'm surprised that spark plugs need changing every 30k miles and nothing about transmission change. I better get crack'n with those plugs.

I too had signed up when I first bought my Taco, to view any service manual....

I did not look around at the other items .....:(
Thanks for the heads up. I up-dated my records so if the time comes for the needed use of the dealer, they can see that I'm taking very good care of my Taco,,,

Nice that it links the dealer info.

However, I notice that at my 5k maint on the 4Runner my paper copy of the service says I got an oil change but online and at the dealership they say it wasn't performed at the 5k mark.

Taking it in at the 15k mark and I'll check to see if whats written matches whats online.

wow! I wonder if the Professional Oil Change Technicians at Wal Mart know that?

ugh? you want me to check your tire pressure? "no sir I can't do that, I am a oil change technician, you'll have to make an appointment with our tire technician to do that"

Great find! This is REALLY neat.

The wife owns an 08 Caliber that has the lifetime powertrain, but they just hand you the paper maintenance log that stays in the car, not very convenient in terms of keeping it up to date or remembering to have the dealership fill it out.
