Actually ended up getting $220 for the Dunlops with 10k miles on them. So total cost of the M/S2's after selling the stocks was $484 Plus I got $150 in gift card rebates so $334. I think I made out alright on that deal.

Total mod spend is up to $1,326

This doesn't include a windshield $310(stupid dump truck going in the opposite direction) and $25 paintless dent removal(stupid me not paying attention)

 

Tell me about this. Does it work better? It's way hot in TX. I'd like to keep the interior cooler.

More time and effort than money, I'm cheap so if there is a way I can get out of paying someone to build it I'll do it myself.

A few years ago, I bought a '67 Camaro to restore. I told my wife I wasn't going to get too carried away. $44,000 later.....She wasn't very pleased with me.

OK. Back to the Tacoma. When I bought the truck, I paid about $6K less than the dealers were typically asking, so I start off in the black!

Here's where it goes south. Will eventually be adding new tires, maybe new rims, wheel spacers, winch and mount, sliders, camper shell, roof rack, and possibly a divorce attorney.

I'm following this thread closely to help build my "build budget".

 

$ 70 for floor liners (front only)
$ 60 window vents
$ 110 for tint (front only)
$ 650 suspension
$ 900 tires

next mod:

$190 color matched grill

All in all it will be around $2000 (maybe $400 more for a new leave pack in the rear at one point) - I made $350 dollars back by selling the old tires and suspension with 18k on them.
