    Is there a noticeable decrease in track width? Will it be necessary to buy spacers to make sure the front and back are even?

    no and no. if you keep stock wheels and get 285's you'll need spacers so the tire clears the control arm. if you buy aftermarket wheels that have enough backspacing you wont need spacers.

    I'm running a 3" OME lift and 285's on my 4Runner. I haven't got spacers or aftermarket UCA's and I'm not rubbing on either the cab or UCA. The only thing issue I've had was with the caster being a hair out of spec on alignment, everything else was within spec. I'm fairly certain if I were to take it tomorrow for an alignment everything would be in spec since everything has settled and I've got 55k on the suspension.

    5th gen and I'm fairly certain it hasn't rubbed. I have yet to see wear on those spots.

    It's been a few years since I was in a 2nd gen Tacoma so I can't speak for the wheel well clearance so I'm most likely incorrect in stating 285's would clear without spacers.
