I think killing endangered animals is disgusting but because I don't drive an "eco friendly" vehicle, or do use paper, or live in a city I'm a hypocrite? "I'm picking and choosing", which according to you, is wrong?

Probably not.

It's self defeating. There are things we cannot live without, or have very little choice in. I drive a truck, use paper, and live in a city. Why? Not only do I chose to but also the means of supporting my family dictates I do so.

Dentist douche could have gone on living as pretty as can be without shooting an endangered animal. His ego said otherwise. He paid a crap ton of money to subvert another country's laws so he could go back to his buddies with bragging rights.

Did his job depend on hunting that lion? Did hunting that lion determine whether or not his family had food on the table? Not at all, and that's where the problem lies.

But tell me. What are some of these "bigger problems" that every single person on Earth should be worried about and focus on?

No one is saying we should riot. I'm not going to lose any sleep over the poor lion. My family is taken care of regardless whether or not that lion lived or died. That however has nothing to do with the essential facts of the matter, which is routinely lost in the emotion.

The dentist illegally killed an endangered animal. At the very onset, its immoral, unethical, selfish, and if you really want to get into it, a pretty shit ass way to represent America. That bastard should however be extradited back to Zimbabwe and face the consequences for his actions.

It really is. Zoos are too. They take animals out of their environments to make money. And people pay to go see em every day. But people are quiet about that cause its fun to take their kids to zoos and show off the caged animals.

 

Yup. Now on the flip side, if in captivity we can get endangered animals to breed and thrive I'm okay with that
