Tried something different for bed light. Used 4 oznium flush mount 3watt stainless bolt led and aluminum flush mount switch. Leds pretty bright.
Kind of pricey $12 for led and $13 for switch but nice clean install. No visible wires and its small.
Also switch lights up when on. In night shot can see switch on top closer to tailgate.

    Nice mod!

Where did you purchase the items? Any links?

I may consider putting the switch in one of the cubbies for concealment, just so some asshole doesn't turn them on and kill the battery.

    Thanks.

Its maybe an 1/8 of an inch. Pretty thin. Very easy (soft ) to drill into. Kind of smells like fiber glass. That's were I drilled right bellow bed rail. I'm thinking whole bed about same thickness.
Saw light you want to install. If going on side of bed should be no problem.

I installed @mattgecko bed light kit which is really bright and clean looking with minimal removal/drilling. Picture was taken with an iPhone so the light isn't quite as bright as it looks here but is plenty bright for any needsIMG_4577.jpg

    Awesome. Thanks a lot.

I'm going to go the F150 bed light route. Already got 2 of those led pod looking thing and that switch pictured below.

Did you buy the entire kit, or were you able to source the lights and switch by themselves?

Pretty much just an F150 full bed light kit. Comes with 2 LED pods, bed switch and full wiring. It ain't cheap that's for sure. A lot will say you can get a bed light kit from sellers here for a fraction of that price. But like I said before I ain't a fan of those LED strips. Yes they're cheap to get and throw out more lights, but it's just not my taste.

I like having that stock/OEM look, you know.

Yes I did ended up buying the whole kit. I tried sourcing part individually but I couldn't find any source for that.

At first I was going to install that Tundra/Tacoma stock/OEM looking bed lights until I ran into this ones.

I am going to install this lights for sure. I just need to find the time to do it.
