How are you liking the Mastercraft's? I'm in the market for a set.

 

1991 Toyota sr5 extra cab with 22re. Frame mint condition, engine just rebuilt by fellow I know, so it's good. New wheels, tires, shocks, fuel tank w/ a flatbed. Small rust on driver's side door and rocker panel. $1800. Good idea?

 

SAS or IFS? Any pics?

 

Ifs. But it would change if I do get it. I'll see if I can find the picture. It's pretty sweet though.

 

Denis has a similar rig. It's a hell of a wheeling rig once you get the right parts into it.

I should... But now there's a 1975 fj40 for sale down the street that's a little dinged up.... Dilema...

 

I'd say the 91 with a SAS might be a better wheeler but the FJ is more nostalgic.

Unless of course you throw a small block Chevy, one tons, and 4 link it front and rear like this one!

 

Oh sweet Jesus that is badass... The pickup is a fair amount cheaper though.

 

If you're going to tear it apart completely and build a bad ass trail rig, might as well start out with the cheaper truck. Both will be capable when you're done, might as well have a bigger budget for add-ons with the pickup.

 

Trust me Cam it WILL get expensive!

All built and bolted to the tranny.
Going to fill it today after work,change the tranny fluid ,install new cross member and the drive shafts and put the exaust back together and then start back working on the spool
