As much fun as it is building a truck, it's just as fun SELECTING what components you'll be using. OK....I just started working on my most recent addition, a 2011 DCSB Tacoma. Got it lifted. Will be doing tires soon. I already know which way I'm going with that. So...Next unknown is what brand/style of sliders I'm looking for. Show me what you have, what you think of them, and if you had it to do over, would you do the same thing? For some unusual reason, not many of the Tacomas prowling the streets around these parts have 'em. Most of the hard core off roaders have home made ones that just don't strike my fancy. Let's see what ya got!

Too poor to list anything interesting.
SOS Concepts makes some good stuff.

Nice 15° angle makes them useful as steps.

The bolt-ons are sturdy as hell. Make sure to use Grade 8 bolts.

Also protects your doors from shitty parkers.

SOS.... Gotta keep them in mind. I like the clean look.

As this thread goes along, I'd like input on bolt on vs weld on. I tend to like the idea of bolt on.

I used the supplied grade 8 hardware, no issues lifting the truck by the sliders.

I have trailgear. They stick out pretty far and have held up, but I haven't liked them after installing them. They just looked weird to me. They stick out nearly flat and its a pretty big sidestep to avoid them getting in and out of the truck. (I don't care about my pants getting a small dirt stain on the leg, but my sister in law hates it) But I didn't have patience to wait for a quality product and those were available. If I had a second chance I would have went with SOS and gladly waited.
