I looked into this briefly to swap my extra cab, very pricey. Your best bet is to find a cheap 4 cyl prerunner DC and swap the parts and sell the rest. I couldn't find a cab at a junkyard here in CO.

I just searched CL and didn't find anything near me for less than 10K

I couldn't find any 1st gen dbl cab cabs at any salvage yard. I bought a complete high mileage truck.

    not too horrible

I found one in Omaha for 8500ish with 200K on it. Even checking the local auctions they aren't any or at all cheaper when wrecked.

I scored my replacement truck, dbl cab prerunner 3.4 non trd, for 6k talked him down from $7200 cuz the suspension and interior were horrible. Score, cuz I was looking at wrecked or salvaged titles for a while that were a lil more lol

We r talking about just scrape metal for the cab and salvage yard for the doors. Two doors are tweaked a bit, one slightly and one pretty good. All fixable.

Well I'm on the hunt for a cab, I wonder if I could find just a roof off of a double cab. If so, I might be willing to take that tab off of your hands. I did a quick look around for roof skins but I think that there might be some more structure needed to repair your roof.

It would be some work. The spots welds split along back of cab to about where the top of bed would be, and the top is obviously a bit tweaked lol

Does anyone know the specs on a 10 inch short bodied c/o. I'm trying to order through dsm and they are saying there arnt short bodied 10s and they won't fit in a stock coil bucket. Also trying to figure out the top mount on them

Don't have the specs, but they are right.
Most people that call them short bodies just mean a top cap that threads over the body. Saves a little bit of OAL. Damn sure won't fit in a stock coil bucket either unless you're running a DTF kit which recesses the lower rod inside the LCA.

Thanks, been watching tracs builds and there lowers aren't pocketed. Figured this would be an easier way to get more travel without building engine cage

Spindles and lower shock mounts are pushed out farther (and looks wider than 3.5")
