I have not had a good enough look at the 2016 Tacoma to form an opinion on it. The GM offerings are ugly to my eyes. Especially the GMC with that grill. It looks like a Silverado. Ya know, a crappy GM truck Not a good look. (YMMV)

I went with a 2015 - knew what I was getting in to!

When a new vehicle enters the market it takes time for it to start showing its effect on the market. The Tacoma has been at the top for some time and having until 2015 only one compettor. There are probably plenty of people out there interested in the Chevy/GMC that haven't purchased one just yet some for the same reason that people are iffy about the 3rd gen Taco.

I think that the C/C will start to take a real share of the market if fact I hope it dose for the simple fact that competition breeds innovation. It may take another year yet but I think that the C/C will become a real competitor. Of course the Tacoma will still do well it'll not have market share that it currently enjoys.

Round my neck of the woods I'm seeing more and Colorado's and Canyons. There are plenty of Tacoma's but each month the ratio of midsize GMs increases.

I agree with this and hope it happens. It may force Toyota to actually give us some good features in the Tacomas. The Chevy and the GMC are ok but they just seem too much like chick trucks to me. No offense to the girls on here it just doesnt seem to hit high enough on the guy meter for me.

Sit in a colorado or a any chevy or gm to feel the interior quality and view the layout. The seats feel like they are from an old gentlemans theater where all the cushion has been ground down to dust. The 4 door colorado feels smaller than my ac taco. My cruz has no trunk release button only on the remote and only works when in park.

So i dont think anyone will really switch from a taco. Some people who have never had a taco maybe wont know any better.

I would say most taco fans would be happy with an 80s pretacoma pickup vs a colorado

One reason the Tacoma is still on top is the fact that availibilty for the GM has been limited. I DFW they do not run dealer ads for because they do not have any
