Need spanner wrench to adjust Fox 2.0

I had my Fox 2.0 coilovers installed as they come last year but I just added a Dakar leaf pack so I need to crank them up a bit. I don't have a spanner wrench (can't find it dangit!!!). Anyway, I was looking online and found this one that looks pretty nice. Has anyone tried it? Does it look legit? My local mechanic also suggested to just go to one of the local 4x4 shops and have them adjust them but I hate having people I don't know work on my truck.

Pacific customs makes some legit products for shocks. I say go for it. They are based out of ao cal and hve been fairly helpful on the ocassions I have called them.

hey bro off topic i know but how do you like the ride of the 2.0's? do u offroad them much? hard to find many with them to get opinions.

 

allrsdup, I have grown to really like them. At first I thought they were a little "soft" feeling in the front but I think it was in my head. They perform really well and now that I have new springs in the back the whole truck rides great. If I had the money I would have upgraded to the 2.5's and possibly resi's like everyone suggests but I get a pretty solid deal on these slightly used so this is what I went with. I am a farm and ranch appraiser so they see a lot of offroad use but nothing extreme such as rock crawling. I also hunt and camp quite a bit. Most of the offroad use is dirt roads, mud holes, creek crossings, etc. so I guess I haven't tested them to the extreme but being on a daily driver, I am happy with everything I have thrown at them both on and off the road.

Back to the topic, the wrench showed up today so I plan to raise the front a bit soon. I will put some before and after pics in the OME thread. Thanks all!

 

OP those don't look like they will work with the 2.0 coilovers, the collars on those are more of a hand grip design in which case the coils would need to be compressed in order to adjust them.

I don't believe anyone makes a spanner wrench for them due to the design of the collars, but I could be wrong

Before you buy you should call and ask them and explain what coilovers you have. I'm thinking you have these

Hey OP, I have the same fox 2.0 coilovers, have got a spanner wrench, but can't seem to adjust the preload on my coilovers. I've taken out the little lock screw on the rings but they still do not move. How did you adjust yours?

 

This is the one that FOX offers for the 2.0 Coilovers. Probably better options out there, but we do have these if needed.

 

I just use steel punches from the hardware store. work great and are cheap.

For what it’s worth ... it is my understanding that you have to remove the 2.0s from the truck to adjust and use a spring compressor as the shock bodies are aluminum and not steel. That’s part of the reason I opted for the 2.5s
