96 6" lift springs on a 2003 4wd taco??

    I found some local on Craigslist. 96 leafs are shorter and with 6" lift they should be longer. Just wonder if they will fit w/o cutting/welding. Maybe a longer shackle. Anybody tried this. I need 3-4 inches of lift and more capacity. Thanks

    95.5-97 have shorter rear springs that would require a lot of modification, Not worth it.

    But i found some leafs with 6" lift. They should be longer. I thought flatten them out and they may fit just with longer shackles. Just thinking

    the pins wont match up.

    with modification it will fit but that will most likely require longer pins, new u-bolts, cut off and re welded leaf spring perches and new shackles.
