I have run both the ap stds and the expos and didn't find either one that stiff. I ran the longer bilsteins in the rear on both sets. BE5-B110-T5.

Which set of AP's did you prefer? I am thinking about getting some. Haven't done too much research yet just have heard good things. Do they both provide the same amount of lift/ how much lift?

Thanks for the info, I guess the 3" may be the way to go since I only have 3" in the front.

If I had to do again would go with the expos.

I have 5100 Billies cranked up to 3" in the front, with 2" aal in the rear and it sits about level now. Wouldn't the expos bring the ass up way too far? Also what kind of shims would I need to look in to with the AP's? Sorry for all the questions, didn't mean to highjack this thread.

I don't need expos in the rear with 4" of lift. Need more in the front as it is lol

Just depends what you like that would be pretty big rake in the rear 1.5" - 2" depending on what all you have in the back of the truck if anything.

Will be a pack rack w/ RTT and high clearance rear w/ swing out tire carrier eventually. But until then she would sit ass up really bad I would think haha

Yeah that'll probably decrease it close to an inch. I never have had that much on mine so just guessing

Just be careful with the B110's their collapsed length is pretty long and will likely bottom before hitting bumpstop. Simple measurements would let you know if you needed to extend your bumpstop or not.

I ran the Fox click adjuster version on my Tacoma, so I was able to dial in the ride, but I currently run a similar shock as those 2.0s you mentioned on my lifted '10 Tundra along with Fox front coil-overs and no complaints about the ride both on and off road. If you're unhappy with Icons digressive valving, then the Fox might provide a more preferable ride. I'm showing those Fox shocks provide 9.6" of travel, which should work out perfect with the AP springs. We are still adding Fox products to our site, but we do have a forum discount. Also worth mentioning are the Bilstein 5160s, which we also run on our own leaf sprung trucks. We like them because of the amount of travel you get with the short body design.

Awesome!!! Thanks for that reply. I was needing to know if those would fit my lift so great :) Do you know if that one I listed above comes with the CD adjuster 8 clicks?

No, those don't have the click adjuster... I believe AP sells those exclusively. However, since they are vehicle specific, they will be valved for Tacomas riding on rear leafs versus a universal application or one adapted from another vehicle like an FJ Cruiser or 4Runner that is coil sprung.

I have the Tacoma specific fox rears from AP. They are nice and I have them on the lowest setting.

Would I need a 26" rear shock extended length with my 3" lift?

I don't know this for sure so someone feel free to correct me but I have read on TW that the CV axles are actually not hurt by increasing angles, but that the boots tear more which there is a fix for.

If that is false I would love to know why

What makes you say that? Aren't they stiffer?
I do it all the time. By the way, 5100s have 4 settings, 0.0", 0.85", 1.75" and 2.5". If you don't have a spacer maybe either you are actually at 2.5" of lift, or your truck is lighter than most, which is possible if you are either a 4cyl or 2WD.

Nope, 4WD V6. They are set at 2.5" but the coilovers come from Toytec w/ a 0.5" spacer on top. At least w/ the kit I bought (wish I wouldn't have went with a kit). I have a tendency to do things the wrong way the first time, and learn the hard way every time lol.

Simply weight capacity. I hail quite often and when I do, it is a lot of weight. I have the Dakars now with the D29XL AAL.
