ATO front skid (need more but icon's might fail if I hang anything else from my truck) All-Pro front bumper thanks to a good deal here and a pesky encounter with a rock or 20, total chaos uppers.
Fair enough! I've got family in Alaska and it's a totally diferent world up there. Would be a huge change from Southern California for sure. I really enjoyed a week off the grid.

Ok amigos, I began posting my Baja photos from the past 2 weeks down there in the Trip Reports forum here on TW. If you like Baja, like camping, like the beach, like Coco (of Coco's Corner), like 300 year old Spanish missions... and all the details of the trip to help plan your own, have a look (and come back, because I have more to add): https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/baja-summer-2015-beach-camping-and-more.384748/

I could think of a few places I'd like to live in as much as SoCal, Chicago is where I wanna live but that's mainly due to my family being there.

Yeah, that would be awesome. I have to pick up some more plate from competitive tomorrow at 4. I'll be home after that. I need to measure a 1st gen extra cab for sliders.

Sounds like you've never lived in that part of the country. I've lived in Boston, Indianapolis, Dallas, and Phoenix. None compare to living here. Spend a winter or two in -20 windchill's and you'll be singing a different tune about the nations finest city.

I went out in a canoe before. Launched off wind n sea at 4am made it past the breakers, hooked up to a yellow but lost it in the kelp. Had at least 10 of them swim under us no more than 5ft down.

So the answer is yes, I'll go in the canoe!
