    Hi guys,

YotaDriver631 is selling his TRD Off road suspension off of his 2015 TRD Off road and i was wondering for $300 would it be a good idea to buy that suspension and put it on my base. Will it make the ride a lot better and is it worth the upgrade over the base suspension? Or should I just save the money and wait til I do a 2 or 3 inch lift in the future?

Just do a lift....... Do it right once, or pay more by doing it twice.

So save up my money and get some 5100's in the future or something like a 2.5 or 3 inch lift!

I'd suggest a lifting COIL..... Like I said do it right the first time.

Avoid compressing coils with 5100's if possible and get eibachs or ome coils with either 5100's (set at zero) or nitrochargers

Got the stock TRD suspension on mine and although it rides well and I have no issue with it... It will soon be replaced with Icon's all the way around. Save your money and buy a quality suspension.

2nd gen TRD OR rear springs are a total joke and would be better suited for a 49 Studabaker.

Save your money! For OME, Icon, etc. For some reason I never hear of Fox anymore, but OME is a good lift for someone not jumping dunes. You could also go for Bilstein 6112's because they have lots of different lift heights but the advantage of OME is they provide a different coil for each amount of lift, so no compression is required. I have 5100s all around with an AAL in the rear, and Eibach's in the front with those 5100s set at 0.85. I wouldn't call it rough but it's firm, and I don't mind it. I bought them all used so for 300 bucks I cannot complain, once my budget expands I will upgrade.

Don't swap stock for stock though

I've seen lots of guys buy the base model truck and upgrade the suspension from there. Its almost a waste of money to buy the TRD off-road package at all if you plan on putting on a lift in the future. I agree- pass on the TRD off-road suspension.

I doubt I'll be putting a lift on it for a few years tho. But still shouldn't spend the money on it.

For $300 and a little more change you can have bilstein 5100's at all 4 corners and actually lift the front.

Where at? Cause that guy messaged me and said he will do $275 for that TRD suspension shipped. So i was kinda wondering if it would actually be worth taking my stock stuff off my base and adding that since i probably wont put a lift on it for a few years? What u guys think, if im not going to install a lift right now?

Nope. Just save your money for a better suspension set up. Not worth the time, hassle, or noticeable upgrade. Yes... It's a little bit better than the stock suspension but not enough to change out even if it were free. Just my opinion.

No problem Corey. 5100's are a good choice. Just remember if you put 5100's on the front and lift the front it will ride rougher. The stock springs are not made to be pre-loaded but will still work. It will just ride stiffer. IMO I would still wait and get a full front coil over rather than just the shocks. I'm going with Icon's all the way around on mine. But... That's in the $1500-$2000 range depending on the setup you chose.
