"My brother Joe went missing in SW Colorado last week"
Original thread: I just wanted to post this up in hope for the word to spread out regarding my missing brother (19 yrs old). He was staying at a Family’s ranch in the Conejos Valley in SW Colorado about 30 minutes North of Chama, NM and 30 mins East of Antinito, CO. Went for an afternoon run (about 1 hr long) and has not been seen since. Perhaps the word will get around to the right person who may know something or have seen something. Below is a link to a Denver and my local (Chattanooga) add with some basic information and pictures. There is also a Facebook page (Find Joe Keller) with more than likely updated information with numbers for any information you could provide etc.

We have had cadaver, trail, rescue dogs and not found anything. Thermal plane (flir) has done 2 flyovers and not found anything within 20mi radius, scoured the land near the ranch where he was last seen running what's accessable and not assesable to run on foot/horseback with no clues at all. I beleive right now it's been turned over to higher up the chain like (CBI) at this time since nothing has been found or identified just yet. https://anothergrayhair.wordpress.co...findjoekeller/

He was on a road trip with a two friends. Stopped at my aunt’s ranch (Rainbow Trout Ranch) west of Antonito, CO. It was his first day of the planned 4-5 days there. They got there about 8am, split some wood, had lunch, went trap shooting, and then for a (1hr) run about 5pm before dinner. Him and a friend started out running the same direction, his friend turned off a driveway that went up to the lodge to try and find a hiking trail that went to the top of the ridge for later and Joe was not seen after that point. His buddy couldn’t find the hiking trail and when came back down the to the road and kept running in the same direction he was originally going. He ran for approximately 3 miles down the road. At the 2.5 mile mark down the road, Joe’s friend saw a fisherman fishing like 40’ from the road and waved at him. They contacted that same fisherman later and he said he never saw my brother at all come by.

^ So this is gonna sound weird but...

The last two times I went riding out at Rampart Range (just South West of Denver) I saw a 'kid' running. Which is NOT common in the area. You'll see campers checking out the trail but rarely hikers and I've never seen anyone running them. It's generally a motorcycle trail and many "city folk" go camping there as it's close, easy access, many camping spots, and scenic.

I saw the runner the first time on Friday the 31st. I came home and saw the news report about your brother and wondered as the age was right and he was running but the area was ALL wrong. Didn't think too much about it. Then on Monday I took an impromptu ride and saw what I believe to be the same runner as I was heading back to my truck. I immediately thought about the news story.

I'm not trying to give you false hope, but the runner looked similar to your brother, I can't be certain though. My thoughts from the beginning, after seeing the initial reports, was that he, your brother, wants to be 'alone' for awhile and decided to 'disappear' and ended up in the Rampart Range area so he could just run without any distractions. Not claiming to be 'psychic' but my gut has been oddly correct and detailed many times before.

Just thought I'd throw it out there. NOT intending to get you away from the original search area and my sighting is FAR, FAR North of the last known sighting area.

Maybe it's just Muffin' man running as he's been 'living' up there this Summer. I'm sure he'll check into this thread and let us know.

Regardless, I hope they find him alive and well.

I haven't seen any runners or really people on foot that weren't in a group. I routinely stop and ask if people who are stopped along the road are ok and haven't heard or been asked by anyone for help.

Would you agree that it's odd to see a runner on the trail? It was 627 closer to the parking lot than not. About 1-3 miles out both times.

On a trail? I never see people on foot unless their bike is broken or something. Very strange.

Good because I love snow. Florida boy didn't ever get to see it growing up so I'm like a child when it snows now hahah

it'll suck though if the temps don't stay low throughout the winter...the sept-nov time frame can kill the snowpack for the remaining season if there are melts/freezes in the lower snow pack...could lead to a high avy season

Yeah, I don't snowmobile so it's less of a concern for me nor do I backcountry ski/snowboard but we'll see. I'm just glad I got a set of snows on separate wheels for the taco on sale at the tail end of last winter. :D

Makes it feel like cheating when driving in the snow, doubly so when stopping.

They say this year is supposed to get some record breaking snow. So we shall see. I personally like crazy blizzards :D
