So when i put on my front bumper i took out that cheap plastic liner that was in there, rather than just cutting it to match the lines of the bumper. now im tired of getting rocks and mud and other debris up in there. anybody ever made their own liners? i was thinking of using something like those flexible cutting boards and just some stainless self tapping screws. anybody else use something better?

so now im thinking those plastic chair mats that go on hardwood. that way i dont have to over lap sheets and use less hardware to attach it. still open to any better suggestions.

You could go the race car route & make fender liners out of a sheet metal or aluminum.

Yeah, over plastic liners it will. You could try coating the metal liners with a rubberized undercoating.
