With all this talk about the Swine flu I'm wondering about the H1N1 shot. Are you getting the shot? I'm leaning towards no because of all the rush and stuff. It seems like no one really knows the long term side effects. It seems maybe I'll be safer just fighting off the flu

I didn't. H1N1 is just the flu. Most people with the flu right now have it. The media got everyone paranoid. Unless you are in a risk category let someone have it that really needs it.

Myself, wife and 2 kids had it and we were confirmed h1n1. It lasted 2 weeks and we were all miserable but it's over and have natural immunity now.

That girl who got the flu shot.... it was a 1 in 1,000,000 chance of that happening.

Dude I work at the hospital and they give these vaccines for free...I however decline them because IMO the shots only prevent about a quarter of the different kinds of Influenza anyway. If your gonna get it, your gonna get. Just exercise and take vitamins! Idon't beleive in injecting anything foreign into my body but that is just my 0.02

Edit: This "H1N1 vaccine" you have to sniff unless your over the age of 45 (I think) and the virus is STILL ALIVE  Forget that shit!!

I agree with you guys but my wife is pregnant and the mortality rate is something like 17% in pregnant women who get H1N1. I have never gotten the flu shot before but did this time as I couldn't live with myself if something happened because I refused the shot. Oh yeah, and I'm the high risk group (healthcare provider)

x2.. i didnt get it the shot with a pregg wife and i work on an ambulance. it is called washing hands and using good hygiene..
my wife decliened the shots too.. .
she used to work as a PA at the hosital.. she doesnt believe in shots either.. esp... as fast as they got the h1n1 vaccine out.. remember what vaccines really are.. part of the strain of virus...

i got the flu couple weeks back and had 102 fever... for 5 days... guess what.. didnt give it to my wife.. go figure...

would rather get the virus and let my body do the work... but dont get me started on the PHARM. COMPANIES that just want to make money...

I had the H1N1 flu in August. For me it was a temperature of just about 103 for a week and then a dry cough. Also ached and tired but that was it. I am on immune suppressant drugs for a Rheumatoid Arthritis like genetic disease called MCTD. The H1N1 apparently effects the younger people much differently. I got the annual flu shot a few weeks back but now don't require the H1N1 shot.

I've never had a flu shot.... and I figure, as long as I'm healthy enough to fight it off naturally, why should I get one? There are people out there that need it more than I do.
