There are several guides on how to do this. The technique is essentially the same:

Thanks! Looks like I would have to drill through the roof reinforcement, which this guys advises against... And he does not specify how he mounted tacks to the roof. He used PlusNuts for sheet metal, but I don't think they can be used with fiberglass. I guess I will have to wait for my racks to come in and go from there.

It's been discussed in this thread before, some tracks are installed by the manufacturer through the reinforced part, and other manufacturers don't. It really doesn't matter. The shell is just paint, gelcoat, fiberglass and paper. I've drilled through my shell in the reinforcement part to do a vent install, (pictures here)and it was no big deal if you read up and are very careful.

You'll need a kit of hardware to hold the tracks down. Yakima capnuts, washers, bots, is the OEM Yakima part on my truck.

Now this is a write up I was looking for! Thanks again

I ordered a set of capnuts/bolts/washers last night from these guys. http://www.etrailer.com/Accessories-and-Parts/Yakima/Y8810155.html
The tracks have 8 holes each, but the mounting hardware set only has 12 of everything. Should be enough. Yakima actually recommends skipping every other hole.

Well I finally got my Snugtop Rebel....looks great and the quality seems to be there. Folding and sliding front window, carpeted interior, pet screens and pro lock. I was going to get the LED strip lighting for the cap but decided to use mattgecko's instead so I would still have bed lighting even if the cap was removed. Cap is dirtier than the truck so it throws the colour off a bit. The paint match is damn good and once clean, I'm sure will be VERY close the the truck's colour.

Any suggestions or links for straps or cargo net for extra storage on inner roof of shell, end game would be to store fishing pole up there...

I'm tempted to get a few of these and replace the cap nuts holding the rack tracks.... This will greatly expand the options for attaching and hanging things....

I like this idea, opens up to many uses. Problem is I have not rack, and really don't want to jeopardize the integrity of the shell.

Ah. I have to drill the shell and install the tracks because my new shiny PrInSu racks should be on their way in a few weeks :)

Yea looking at adding an 30" led sigle row or a couple of 10" single row bars as well as some side area lights for setting up camp

I do have a couple of rigid srm2 driving lights in the fog light postions a 30" double row hidden in the grill and a couple srq2 hyperspots on the windshields pillars not really sure i need much more lumens

I like these. I want to do something similar but a d-ring version that will swivel with direction of pull, like the factory d-rings in the rear of the Tacoma bed.

    Something like this:
