What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

We just did this on my buddies 05 Tacoma just tap into the blinker wires. There are only two wires (white/black & green on his) - the white and black lined wire goes with all the black wires from the halo and leds. The green goes with the white or red wires coming out of the halos and leds. I had mine backwards at first.

Not a big deal, but it can happen. I've always done this. People will try to peel off current reg tags, too. Just saw a post on a neighborhood bulletin about both of these happening to two different people. So antitheft stainless allen screws and cross-hatching the annual reg sticker with a razor blade is SOP. Encourages the average loser crackhead go to the next, easier option down the street.

 

Over the process of three days iv picked up, painted, and installed my new SOS Offroad Concepts rear bumper. Just got the exhaust re-routed today. Couldnt be happier with how it turned out.

Took off the shell and gave it a bath, needed space to help haul work to a show install tomorrow. Also going to clean up and line he she'll while it's off and install some overhead lights.

 

Built a platform for the back of my access cab. Went a different route than others, as it sits flush with the under seat storage box allowing access to them. Made of two pieces so if anyone does want/need to sit in back I can remove one half and store in the bed of the truck. I can also still store my long guns underneath for hunting/camping trips.

All I need is to either paint it with a bed liner/grippy like paint, or wrap it with carpet.




Currently using a blanket until I can source some black auto carpet or paint.


Not bad considering I have zero carpenter skills.

I did mine elevated for more storage (seat delete) and so that anyone who wanted to ride in back could go fuck themselves .

Yep. Inspection book says wheel spacers cant be more than 1/4" wide. Foglights must NOT come on with the high beams. Blah blah blah.

 

Mounted my Delorme InReach on the powered RAM mount.

They are wired and working fine, they are tapped into the blinker wires, as the blinker is the DTRL... I'm not sure I understand your thought process...

 

Put on hella 700ff lights. Hopefully going to finish wiring them tonight or tomorrow

 

Was getting some steering wheel shakes at freeway speed so took it to the dealer for a tire balance today. Holy shit! Both fronts off by 20oz and both rears off by 10oz. Can't imagine the sticky weights fell off so perfectly, so gonna blame the Firestone I had do the original mounting.

I think I may be one of the few who likes his local dealer. They have always done right by my. Off warranty and they still covered the technician cost. Oh what a feeling!
