Gap is good. Installed all this in February and did it correct the first time.

I just installed the knock sensor and a new wire harness the other day with Greg.

How old is your battery? On TN, I've seen a lot (and I mean a lot!) of weird stuff happen when a battery is going out. We even had one Tacoma throw the P0330 code and had a rough idle until he replaced his battery. Then the code went away and it idled good after that (he reported back after a month and all was still good). So there's another possible culprit.

    That's wierd. I believe it's 3 years old.
Interstate MTP 24F. It's the style of battery I've been running for years.

I'm also thinking MAF not reading air volume or temperate correctly. But my ultra gauge shows air temp is normal (few deg above outside temps). No clue about air flow

    Spotted in Roseville. Badgeless Tacoma.
I don't know if they are on here, but I was curious what lift kit he was running, or about what height the kit is. I'm guessing 4". But I was wondering if it was maybe the maxtrac spindle lift, and if that's how the spindle lift sits at ride height? The rear was imo the perfect height, but I think the front could come up about an inch.

I saw a few negative Tacoma reviews comparing to the Colorado. Pissin me off because my dad's retiring and asking me advice on a midsize truck and he's in between the taco and the Colorado. I keep telling him to look at how badly I abuse my truck and have next to zero problems and imagine if he kept his stock how long it would last him! The truck reviews seem biased towards the Colorado imo. All the problems I've had with my truck can be attributed to rocks... Big rocks... Lol

As soon as the 3rd Gen Tacoma comes out in a couple months, it'll then be favored over the Colorado in reviews. Makes a difference comparing a current gen to a current gen rather than comparing to a truck that came out in 2005.

Yea but people dont want to hear that. Even though our Japanese trucks are more American than most 'American' trucks.

True, but auto review people tend to lean toward "American" car manufactures. Most Tacomas are built in Texas now and Toyota USA (most Toyota's built for US sale) exchanges on the American stock exchange.

General public tends to think Chevy/GM, Ram/Chrysler/Dodge, and Ford are American AND Toyota is foreign. Just not the true case anymore and general public doesn't do true research past that. The world is a global marketplace now and the "American" auto manufactures use parts and build their vehicles in Mexico, China, and others.

Basically buy what you like; buy quality, reliability, and resale value; Buy a Toyota.

Even with an outdated design/version and technology, the Tacoma has outsold, outlasted, and out performed all other midsized trucks. It is a tested model and that is why I think Toyota kept the model for so long.

Honestly the Colorado is a pretty sweet truck. I've driven a few and I know someone with one and he absolutely loves it.

The thing they mostly focus on is the Colorado has more HP and better fuel economy. Everything else is "it just hasn't been out there long enough to compare reliability to the tacomas... So we'll just vote Colorado"
