I did it once with a good quality screw driver that was cut off and ground flat. Learned that trick from Dan who works at ADS and is what he uses haha. I think they run like $30-40.

Yep. Jacked it up and took the tire off to get better leverage/angle and go from there. Then do the other side. Be sure to count how many rotations you're doing to repeat it on the other side.

^Or count the threads, and on my truck I have 4 more threads showing on the driver side to compensate for the taco lean ;)

When I stopped in the other day at ADS they had this thing hiding inside  and that's Brian's Razr 1000 sitting in the back equipped with their own shocks and c/o's

On our family vacation for the summer and noticed my rear driver shock is leaking. I texted Matt at MCM right and is going to send new seals right away. Hopefully this is a one off and i have no more problems with it.

It looks worse than it is. Its just the coating. And it started leaking while driving on the highway not doing trails

It looks pretty bad... and considering that it is within the first few inches of up travel it is likely cycling through the seal even during daily use which is whats eating the seal up. If this were a shock we were rebuilding we would recommend putting a new shaft on it.

I will try just the seal first. But we sand and gravel our roads up here every winter. And if this happens after every small chip its going to get expensive.

    ...too much shit to list.
Cliff hit the nail on the head. Did you get nitrosteel or hard chromed shafts?

Do the nitrosteel have a coating at all and how will they hold up in damp climates? Ive already messaged MCM to see about new shafts.

Does ADS have a 12" rear shock like the king smoothies? If so are they piggyback or resi? I ask cause I'm going with BAMF shock relocation kit and if it's piggyback I may not have to get the shock relocation.
