So I recently added my 2012 Tacoma to the Toyota Owners site and was looking at the previous service history. About 4 months before I bought the truck it apparently had a transmission assembly done to it from the original dealer. And of course when I click it to look at the details, nothing comes up and gives me an error on finding it. I bought it from a different dealer in a different state and the carfax came back squeaky clean I didn't see anything in it about a transmission assembly.

Anyone familiar with what this service is?
Should I be worried about anything?

Just looking for some opinions. Thanks

Sounds like they replaced the transmission.

Thanks I called the Toyota dealership that did the work and they are going to mail me the work order. Guess I will see for myself. Hoping there is a mistake or something and they have the wrong truck. It's hard to believe they replaced the transmission at 15,000 miles and 4 months before I bought it. I'm just pissed the Carfax didn't show that. I would have never bought the truck if I saw the transmission had been replaced.

Don't worry about the transmission, If it was done by a dealer under warranty it was probably a Toyota factory unit. I am sure it will be ok
don't forget you still have a nice truck, the only thing that would really turn me off would be a flooded or collision damaged truck.......

Thanks I'm about to sell it as it is anyway. We are having a baby soon and the Access cab isn't the best for a car seat.
