Thanks for posting that video. That's pretty impressive. I thought it worked to reduce wheelspin, but I wasn't sure exactly how. The Land Cruiser actually tried to back up a little before engaging Crawl Control. They should have done that with the Tacoma in the other video to show it off better. Either way it's pretty cool.

Quality of the video is better. I think crawl control is a gimmick.

He used the multi terrain setting on sand and the crawl control to get him out. Rather then having to be pulled out by a rescue vehicle.

I was actually quite impressed with the first video. I saw very little movement between the cab and bed going over the rocks, whereas normally I would be watching for the moon roof to pop out or crack because of body flex.

    Amen!!

Toyota's low range was never low enough. Need to regear.

That's where the old Jeeps were frigin awesome. You could put 'em in 4Lo 1st gear, let the clutch out without any gas and the thing would crawl up stuff on its own. ;)

I was very impressed by the sand video. That truck is sitting on the frame, very amazing he could get out.

Also very cool to see the first DCLB TRD Off road

Not bad. I've never got out of a similar situation that easily. I can't pay $36k for it but no doubt it will work out fine for those that can.

So the '16 isn't regeared lower? Hmm 4.10 sounds lower, but is being hacked up by fuel mileage seekers before info is released.

The new 6th gear was said to be a taller over driver gear because the truck will only be offered with the 4.1 rear end

WHat was that god awful screeching coming from the suspension once it started moving?

A small handful of select mods.
That was sand in the brakes. Not from the suspension.

Which is not big deal if you have Disc brakes, couple seconds and sand gets cleared away from rotors...
Wait Does Tacoma have Disc brakes ?
