Canondale MTB? 26" - I seriously doubt it would with out it being diagonal and the front wheel being at a 90 degree from the frame. I took my Salsa Spearfish 29" to the dealer the other night and there is just not enough room in the SB to toss it in without a rack unless you put the gate down (or use a tail gate rack). It squeezes into the LB w/o a rack but barely. I'm downsizing from my last 2 trucks an '04 Tundra DC and then a '14 Silverado CC w/6ft bed so I've been pretty used to just hucking my bike or my kids bikes (they are grown so adult sized bikes) in there. I read a ton of threads and looked at a lot of pics and the only way a SB works for bikes seems to be a fork mount rack at the front rail (and even them longer framed bikes like my Salsa need a little tweak off center to fir with the gate up) or a tailgate pad/rack. If others run a different setup successfully with 29" wheeled MTB's I would love to hear how you are doing it and see some pics. Either way I am in for a LB for lots of reasons.

I think MY = model year and this seems to confirm the return of the TRD Pro package

I'm pretty set on the DCSB so I'll have to find some way to make it work. Might have to get one of those bed extenders.

You notice "BLAZING BLUE PEARL" for the Tacoma? Looks like it's not SWB

Well the bed size is not changing from all the information we've seen so far - why not take you bike over to a dealer and see what works for you? I just look at the SB and there isn't that much room in that bed for piling crap in besides MTB's. Climbing gear, camping gear etc would be OK but when I do work around the house I really appreciated a 6ft bed in the past. On a Tundra with a SB you get extra width so things fit better but a Taco SB isn't that roomy back there. But, to each his own - whatever makes you happy at the end of the day.

lol you're all a bunch of assholes on this forum. Obviously they got rid of SWB in 2011 but the speculation was that the new bright blue (not BRM) was going to be SWB resurrected.

and again speculation. here let me leave this here. I speculate that apple stock will hit $1900 dollars a share in September when the new iphone comes out. better go buy stock now.

edit : SWB color code was 8P1. the blazing blue is 8T0.

and for your info all ext color code starting with

    8 variation of blue
    1 variation of silver
    3 variation of red

edit 2 : and grey falls under 1 since a different variation of silver.

    white I think is 0
    black I think is 2

Agreed. But in certain light that new color is pretty awesome.

I would think MY means "model year".

It's weird because they have shown a couple of beige trucks in regular TRD Off-Road configurations (I think both AC and a DC), not a TRD Pro (that is rumored to "show up later").

Toyota says the Pro line will continue for 2016 with the for runner and tundra.
My guess is it reads trd offroad/trd pro. I assume it is only going to be available with those packages at least for 2016...

I think the best way to transport mountain bikes is a hitch rack, not the bed. Keeps your bike from getting scratched up, keeps your truck from getting scratched up, leaves you space open in your bed. When I am pulling my trailer, I use my rack on my topper.

Except when you go down roads with nasty washes - then they drag. Something I have not seen here but saw all over Costa Rica during La Ruta was hitch racks that were raised. i.e. instead of being low like yours the bikes sat much higher. Probably b/c many of the roads there had what amounted to big huge water bars in them for erosion control - would have ripped the racks off if they were not raised. Most places here it doesn't make a huge difference but in WY, CO, UT it sure would come in handy.

Unless the weather is foul and raining, or running down a dirt road, the eddy that forms behind the vehicles trashes the bikes with road grime. I like them inside the bed/topper with a bed mounted fork mount. Long trips I'll pull the wheels and toss them in the extra cab.

The short beds are too small for me, the 6' bed is barely adequate. Buddy of mine used to have a RCLB fullsize with a topper, he could get a couple bikes in there, plus gear and still had room to sleep.
