Anybody that has seen these in person is that stupid looking black trim piece between the windows look easy to remove? Looks ugly especially in this picture.

That's where people put their hands when they close the door. I haven't seen many cars with paint there

To be honest, that's the only place my 06 Super White is flaking paint and if it'll help protect it, I'm all for it.

Its simply for design and has nothing to do with paint or door protection, it gives the appearance of seamless window flow between front and back. Its been a design trend with all manufacturers for years now. I prefer the paint if you ask me, looks more finished than that chintzy black that dosent look right.

The sport was the only TRD option when getting a longbed. Not sure where your waste of money claim comes from, you get the upgraded suspension, better tires than sr5, hood scoop, color matched bumpers mirrors and door handles, mirrors with lighted turn signals, upgraded seats, power converter in bed, upgraded wheels. Not really a waste of money, just different options if you don't want chrome bumper and grille, black handles and mirror and a rear locker. You should do a bit more research on the 2nd gens, just saying.

... And if it's plastic similar to what is on my wife's Highlander in that area, it breaks easy as well. :anonymous:

Just when I'm warming up to it, a pic like that brings my focus back on the bulbous gaping grill.

Those have been the first thing to go on both the TRD Sports I've owned. Looks so much better without and over the years the decals get brittle and will shade the paint if you remove them then.
