I've been up since 2 and I'm in an office in a warehouse with no windows. It feels like afternoon.

    Shrug.
At least I don't get a period. :p :brianr: :stirthepot:

I don't mind too much; I'm usually up around 4:30 anyway. But the dog went nuts about a skunk in the compost pile at 2 this morning, and I wasn't able to fall back asleep after.

Congrats. Harper turned 1 at the end of June. Kept the party nice and small which made it far more relaxing than other events we've had for her. Just did a cookout at our place with a few friends and immediate family.

I can usually fall back asleep if I just wake up and need a drink of water or something, but when the dog all of a sudden hauls ass out of the bedroom barking up a storm I'm AWAKE, and there's no coming back from it.

Put the finishing touches on the nursery and get my yardwork done. If I have time, I'll get some stuff done with the truck also.

That's good. I have the same changing table and even though we still have my original crib we bought a different one and used it for both Jacob and Sophia

    Afternoon!

Here's a good chuckle: Yesterday evening the neighbor came over and told me I could take some wood from a tree he just had cut. Get the wood in the truck and drive it to the back yard. During the unload, something bites me on the ankle. Next another sting behind the knee on the other leg. Then the neighbor gets in on his leg. Next me again on the left arm pit. Evidently I have a hornets nest in a pile of brush near my woodpile that we must have disturbed. We go running around the house, in the garage, and into the house. Don't you know a hornet is in the damn house with us looking for another victim. Long story short, hornet stings hurt more that typical bee stings. Spent the rest of the evening with ice bags, benedryl, my asthma in hailer, and...

The epi-pen by my side just in case. Yup, I'm alergic to bee stings. Not deathly but I did swell up and needed the inhailer. Probably should have gone to the ER but I really didn't want to sit around for hours in the waiting room if it wasn't a true emergency.

So now I have to get rid of these things. Which one would you suggest - Bee spray? How 'bout a little kero and one of those big torches that attach to a 20lb propane tank? Maybe 4lbs of gun powder and a wick??

On another note, the truck is at the dealer today for some warranty work - clutch pedal squeak, pinging when hot, vibration when taking off, and a drivetrain (yoke) clunk when going over bumps with the clutch in. We'll see how much of this is 'normal - no defect found'

vss man, wait until night time, when the nest is inactive and all the hornets are in the nest, then spray the shit out of it with Raid. If you want some more satisfaction, pour kero on the nest and light the bitch on fire but again, do it at night.

Them buggars are in a brush pile. I can't see the actual nest but I know they're in there... I have to move my log splitter from the area as it's too close for my comfort when I blow a hole in the backyard. I'll be out there at night with umteen layers of coats/pants on, a net over a hat, big ol' gater boots and a case of Raid - one can in each hand - In my mind, I'll be like the matrix but in reality more like dumb & dumber. As I'm sure you can tell, there's one thing that I really despise - Bees!

Maybe I should call someone that isn't allergic to bee stings...

Thanks! We're all set though. We still have the one from Joseph. Just pulled it out of storage last weekend.
