    Is there an advantage with 17" rims versus 16". My 2105 4x4 SR5 came with 16" steelies. I really like the look of the F-5 wheels. I understand the steel is heavier, what are other reasons not to stick with the steel?

    Thanks

    Besides the weight factor, most folks do it for aesthetics or to be able to run wider tires due to the backspacing of the factory wheels. 17s vs 16s is all preference and there's no right or wrong answer. Some folks prefer more wheel than tire and vice versa.

    Would my stock Dunlop AT20 tires with TPMS fit on these in the 16"?

    That tire is approved for an 8" wheel so you're good there, but the sensor from your steel wheels will not be a direct fit. You'll need to use sensors made for an alloy wheel. I recommend discussing your options with your local tire shop.

    This is without spacers right..? Not sure if this has been asked.., But how much more of a "poke/stick out" over a FJ wheel..? I'm currently running FJ Steel wheels and would love to jump on these 17" F-5's juts don't love the steam roller look.

    I could be wrong, but it looks like the 4Runner has spacers.

    Vin confirmed that the T4R has spacers. If you look close you can see blue in the hub area. I thought they were hub centric rings, but Vin explained they were spacers and that SCS wheels don't use hub centric rings. Probably Spidertrax given that they are blue.

    This is a pretty good tool to see how much poke you will have in comparison to your current wheels:

    Provide me the specs of your current wheels and I can give you an idea of how poke there will be in comparison.

    That 4Runner does indeed have spidertrax spacers, but you won't need to run with. The customer just wanted a SUPER aggressive stance.

    Thank you for your support!

    Picked up a set from Vin today! 16x8 3.5bs in Matte Jet Black. Great to meet you and thanks for the deal! They're hiding in the back of my Taco until I can get some tires mounted, then I get to surprise my wife for her birthday and hook up her fJ62! Stoked!

    @SCSPerformance No problem, I'm running 17" x 7.5" FJ Steel wheels +15mm offset / 4.5" backspacing. Thank you..!!!

    Sweet photo! Saved for IG:thumbsup:

    Great meeting you too Anthony! I look forward to seeing your wife's setup.

    Our 16x8 4.5" bs option would sit 0.5" wider and our 3.5" bs would be 1.5" wider than those FJ steelies. If you opted for our new 17" size, it would be 1.2" wider.
