I have the 5100's ordered and have planned to go .85 and be done. I already have nitto G2's one size bigger.

Should I go ahead and go 1.75 with a block in the rear? Is that too tall for those tires? Also planning to put 1.25 wheel spacers.

Anybody have any pictures? I've Google it and Google it, but I'm still in the air about it?

Blocks tend to increase alxe wrap, and shorten leafpack lifespan.

I'd suggest an add a leaf (aal).

If u can swing it, I'd suggest a progressive aal like icon or wheelers

I have a 2015 and I put them at 1.75 and it leveled it perfectly. No need for a block, if you eventually want to go higher. Replace the crappy inferior rear leaf pack with a whole new assembly. Which is what I am in the middle of doing. My rear Sport leafs with 13,000 miles on them are already flat and starting to do a reverse curve. Complete garbage in my opinion.

I'll eventually do an OME kit and run 285's, but I use the truck for work and knock down 125 - 200 miles per day. I can do the blistens and the install and the alignment for $450 total. The aal or add a leaf is $500 or so and will give 1.5 which I think is too large for these tires.

It really comes down to 265/70/17 tires and an extra 1 inch in the rear or not?

Oops, there not that much. I don't want to do leafs or rear springs.

I get a great ride on and off road from my Wheelers 3 leaf pack (only cost $160). Just the right amount of lift to clear 285's.

is there such thing and extended rear shackles to add a tad of lift. I had the 5100 set at .85 with stock in rear and cleared 265/75/16 no problem

Tyler I ran a 1 1/2 block on my other truck. Never had a issue with it and drove 100 + miles a day. Put 335000 miles on it with the blocks. Still was same height in rear when I sold it.

Thanks for info. I was just going back and looking at your truck. The question I really had was would a 1 inch block overwhelm that size tires in the rear. That was the same size you had and it looked great.

I'll do a fancy complete set up, but I'd like to drive a beat the tar out of the one I've got first.

Could you throw up another picture?

Did you have a hard time selling your tacoma with that many miles?

I had 17x9 rims on it so it had a little wider stance. I had it on Craigslist for about a week and a dealership bought it. So it was pretty easy. I'm at work and this is the only pic I got.

How was the ride with the Eibach 112-620 with Bilstein 5100 set at 0 for a 1.6" lift? Did you have 17x9 wheels with 265/65/17 tires? Did you notice early wear on the edges of the wheels? Thanks for any feedback.

The ride was great. I drive 100+ miles a day to work. I also had TC upper control arms. I had 17x9 with 265/70/17 Toyos, and I never had any wear on the edges. Later on I put OME 885 springs on it and never had a problem either.
