Nice. I would be taking my '40 out and about now that I have new disc brakes and lots of other cool stuff. Unfortunately, the rear main decided it didn't like the motor anymore. Now I am getting the parts together to yank the motor and change things up while it is out. Mopar big blocks are nice, but it sucks not being able to fix the rear main without yanking the crank.

Dakota will hate me for this, and i know it's like 13 pages back, but i've got some catching up to do. If you're looking for a set of running boards, mine are still for sale in this thread, they came off my 2008 double cab short bed, bolt on. 6 bolts each side. hardware included. you may or may not have the holes already on your rig. couple of things though, if you are interested and you really really want to see them/buy them, they're at my parents place, and you'll have to go pick them up from them. i am a national truck driver and am not scheduled to be home for a few months. PM me if interested. Welcome to the forum!

Yeah, if the journal is smooth, you can just loosen the caps and install a rubber rear main seal. But if it is grooved for oil control, not so easy to replace the rope seal.

What do you all recommend for a shorty antenna? The factory antenna would not stay tight, and came off yesterday.

Is anyone here from the N.E. of Portland able to help out a fellow TW member? I need someone to buy a motorcycle seat from a guy on CL and put it in a box and ship it to me! No special packing just wrap anything you can find to protect the pleather and I will set up the shipping with fed ex so you just have to drop it off and everything will be taken care of!

I picked up an AntennaX 13" off Amazon awhile back. It works good enough for me. I mostly listen to music i have on my sd card but when ive needed to tune into say the highway stations (1610, ect) or do listen to music it seems to work as well as the stock one.

My only complaint with it, it bends like a mofo. Highway speeds have it bending quite a bit and it doesnt really go back to straight. But its a minor annoyance and for the sub 20 bucks i paid i can live with it
