Hello all. A few weeks ago, my 12 year old stepson, Andrew, was complaining of leg pain during a Lacrosse game. Initially the doctors thought he had a stress fracture in his tibia. Following an MRI a tumor in his lower leg, near the knee joint was discovered.

Tomorrow Andrew is going to A.I. Dupont hospital in Delaware to have the tumor removed and a biopsy done. The doctor is fairly certain that it is benign, but there is a small chance of malignancy, we will not know until the biopsy results come back in a week.

Following the operation, Andrew will be in a cast and not terribly mobile for several months. He will not be able to run for at least 6 month, meaning that he will miss the rest of this and the next lacrosse seasons.

If you could find a moment to send good thoughts and prayers, Cindy and I would appreciate it.

    Thank you all in advance.

Thank you all. I believe that he plays lacrosse pretty much year round except for the winter. It's hard to keep track of all of the leagues. He plays for the Delaware Dragons traveling team.

I played for an elite team called Tri-State. We played them probably at tournaments. Hope for the best. Keep us updated.
