Heading up to Big Bear with a group from another forum tomorrow and I decided to remove the rear bumper and spare tire for extra clearance. (I cleaned everything up, even removed the third reverse light).

Hope you don't dent up those bed sides if you needed to remove your bumper for clearance.....

I built my own IFS skid plate. That's definitely the way to go.

You need clearance from removing the bumper on a non lifted truck with highway tires?

What for? are you climbing huge inclined areas that are paved?

Going to see if Jeff a fabricator locally can build a skid for me in a few weeks.
He built my rear bumper, re enforced my front bumper and added on to my rear cage for dual flat spares.

I havent needed to remove my rear bumper for any reason, I only had 1 time I scrapped inside a 45 degree angle bowl.

The point is if you have this fancy lift and tires.. why do you need to remove your bumper?

Because he wanted to, why do you care?

The point is if you have a mid travel lift...Why do you need fiberglass?

Fiberglass has more function than just look, it allows for more inner clearance when tucking tire.
The plan was to go long travel in the same time frame as well.

It's not that I wanted to give him shit, was simply asking a question.

But hey thanks for chiming in.

Just following suit, you chime in on every post and your comment wasn't necessary. If you used your eyes you would see his lift clearly stated under his name on the left.

I can take criticism just fine, what I can't take is an Internet bully

    SAS.

Ruff stuff housings, 3 link ORI front, Chevys and triple bypasses. Cutting the front frame off next month, axles are done just waiting on a few parts.

Agreed, I've been avoiding the thread for a while now because the jet stream of BS is heavy.
