Preview hype says these guys are starving. These last four are all survivors.

I noticed how much thinner Alan looks on the commercials. You can really see the weight loss in his face.

Anyone else notice when Alan says "I'll sever the spine," on the salmon that it was already dead with rigor mortise?

I think the gill nets that Mitch and Alan brought were pretty important pieces of gear after watching the show. I think Mitch looses his some how and Alan rips or looses his. The previews show Alan building a fish trap. It's hard to tell now who wins, I thought it was Mitch, but the previewsare throwing me off a bit. I still say Alan and Mitch for the final two.

Pretty sure Lucas' fish last night was a brown rock fish and not a lingcod.....haha. I think they misidentified the salmon too?

They could have just googled it and put the correct fish when identifying.....haha

Saw on You Tube that Mitch has his own survival school that he teaches a lot of woodcraft. His new hooch is pretty impressive, why he didn't do that sooner.
He just might win this. Two more episodes and three are leaving.

They really took these guys out of their comfort zone for this.
Spent three years in Alaska in the AF. Some of the area is like that.

I think almost all those guys have a youtube channel. There is maybe like 2-3 that don't.

Says the finale is this Thursday. Aren't Alan, Lucas, Mitch, and Sam still in it, or did I miss some eliminations?

No you did not miss anything. I thought there are more episodes to air. Surprised Sam hasn't tapped out.

I was just on the history channel app, maybe they just posted a commercial. I thought there were 2 more episodes. I thought the one with the commentary were just additions to the series?

That depends on the person watching the series. I think the one where Dustin stayed up all night clinging to his bear spray and hatchet was odd for a experienced outdoors man. Get up and chase the bear away, it was just being curious. Said being out there was not worth dying over.
Have lived in New Mexico since 1986 and go camping every chance I get and every bear I saw ran away at first sight. If humans aren't feeding them they don't stay around. Brother in law had trouble at a campsite where one got used to eating garbage. Would not go away.

The only time I know of where some one got killed by a black bear in New Mexico was several years ago an elderly woman living by herself was feeding one and ended up killed by it. No details other than media over blown hype.

Saw on the History channel website that this is considered season one and there is a link to apply for future shows.
Hope they do better next time for applicants. Not anything I would want to do on purpose. Not trying for rescue goes against the grain for me.

I think casting for season 2 ended in June. I think the season finale is tonight. They really need to whittle it down to 5 people on season 2, I'm not really a fan of listening to grown men cry or listening then rant about home sickness. I understand why they go through it, but it doesn't have to be 4 out of 10 episodes and the 1st 20 minutes of the show.

They definitely need to tweak the structure imo.

No the season finale is next week. Agree they should screen applicants better. Maybe lesson learned.
